Even though this night was an absolute nightmare due to equipment problems and a lighting setup I tried (unsuccessfully) to use to my advantage, I still managed to get a few decent shots from the show. They’re not the best, but I figured I’d post a few for fun.

SA Fashion Week is here, with events taking place all over the city. For a full listing of upcoming shows, head on over to the SA Fashion Week Website and take a look.

I attended the Equal Rights for Fashionistas event that was held by Michael Quintanilla on Tuesday, which was very informative of what trends are going to be popular in the upcoming season, and tonight I will be attending (as press) the Couture on a Budget Fashion Show at the Hotel Indigo. I will be there as a photographer so I’m hoping to post some great shots of that in the upcoming days.

I am going to also try my best to make it to the Going Green Gala this friday at Sunset Station. That is looking to be a great event, and the gorgeous backdrop of the station should make for some awesome runway photos.

To end the week, I will probably try to make it to the Holiday Swimwear Extravaganza at the TONIC bar on Babcock, but that’s a big question mark at the moment. We’ll see if I have the energy after going to work and fashion shows all week!

My cousin Josh got married on July 31st and I was there to take a few photos. While most of them will be posted on the Faith’s Photos website, I had a few shots that I kept for myself to edit. Here’s a quick shot of the groom and his groomsmen.

The NCLR (National Council of La Raza) convention was held in San Antonio this past weekend, and I was privileged enough to be asked by Si TV to work as photographer at their booth. One of the network’s original shows is Model Latina, a fashion themed reality show similar to America’s Next Top Model.  There to promote the show were three of the ladies from the two previous seasons and one from the upcoming Model Latina NYC. My job was basically to take photos of them all day. I know, it was such a chore ;)

Nashlly (2nd from left in the photo below) will be in the upcoming Model Latina NYC, which premieres Aug 2nd. Make sure you tune in and cheer for her! And to answer your questions; No it’s not live, yes they are finished filming, and no they wouldn’t tell me who won.
