Freddie Faith Keller knows how to appeal to the geeks, probably because she is one.

Freddie is probably one of the most interesting and fearless models I’ve ever shot, and when I suggested a geek shoot, she was all over it. I brought my Guitar Hero guitar, Live headset, and Xbox 360 controllers. She brought her orange Leeloo wig, her Zombie t-shirt, and her awesome attitude. When you put those things together, it can only mean great things for the Sector Six project.

When we were done rockin’ with the GH guitar, I pulled out my tangle of 360 controllers and wires. Rather than having another shot of girl with skimpy clothing and an Xbox controller, we decided that the clothing should BE the controllers. While these are probably the wildest and riskiest photos I’ve ever shot, they were nothing but an average day’s work for Freddie. She wrapped those cords around her neck, put on the headset, and threw out poses that would make them Sony fanboys jealous.

Now that there’s no way to possibly top that (in my own opinion of course), I can close the first chapter in the Sector Six project. Freddie set the bar way too high with the controller-kini, and I think I should just leave it at that. The next chapter I would like to try are video game costumes. Not those crappy, toilet paper and cardboard costumes you see at the comic conventions, but good ones. So if there are any costume/fashion designers out there that want to give it a shot, let me know!
